On Tuesday, January 8th, USA-ITA and PwC, an Associate Member of USA-ITA, hosted a seminar titled "Retailing in China: Successfully Navigating China Customs & CIQ Requirements" in New York City. The seminar was simultaneously webcast for USA-ITA members and PwC clients who were unable to participate.
Damon Paling, a partner at PwC Shanghai, covered topics including crossing the Chinese Customs border, CIQ, import models, efficiency, and more. Mr. Paling consults for many retailers and brands in our sector on Customs and trade advocacy, and he provided excellent insight on the in-country requirements and how to successfully meet the challenges of Chinese Customs and CIQ requirements.
