Taking A New Look At Qualified Industrial Zones (QIZs)

Speaker: Jon Fee, Partner, Alston + Bird LLP
Jon plans to share his overview of the U.S.-Israel Free Trade Agreement and regulatory provisions that created and implemented the QIZ program. He will review the country of origin labeling rules and interpretive rulings that apply to QIZ apparel. He will also give practical suggestions for compliance and record-keeping, and will highlight issues that have been raised by Regulatory Audit and other CBP personnel with QIZ participants. Jon will include useful examples and will encourage questions and discussion.

Gail will share her thoughts on the importance of the QIZ for the Obama Administration, as well as her personal views from her recent trip to the QIZs.
