Sourcing at MAGIC February 2011
Sourcing at MAGIC, the biggest sourcing trade show in the U.S., took place on February 13-16, 2011 to the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, NV. As a sponsor, USA-ITA hosted a seminar on February 14, 2011 entitled Sourcing's New Decade. President Julie Hughes served as the seminar moderator.
Peter McGrath, President of McGrath International (and former Chairman of the USA-ITA Board of Directors) spoke about how to develop successful sourcing strategies and the current sourcing enviroment in several different countries. Mark Messura of Cotton Incorporated provided about a fresh look at the global situation for cotton prices and availability. With cotton prices ever in flux, he gave insight and advice for apparel importers to assist with navigating today's tumultuous market.
