Mission Statement
The purpose of the Association is to keep its members informed of issues in trade,
Customs, and other areas of interest to importers of textiles and apparel and to undertake
such activities as the members deem appropriate to promote and protect their common
interest in these areas. These include:
a) Provide members information through regular and special reports on legislative development, agency activities, judicial proceeding, customs matters, negotiations, calls and embargoes.
b) Determe issues of common interest and concern to textile and apparel importers:
c) Articulate and advocate the concerns and interests of the textile and apparel importing community before Congress, Executive branch agencies, and the courts.
d) Provide opportunities for education, advancement and improvement in all aspects of textile and apparel importing through research, meetings, shows, seminars, communications, publications, and other programs and activities.
