This seminar will address many of the issues surrounding detentions and seizures that have arisen now that U.S. Customs and Border Protection “production verification teams” have resumed their visits to factories in Hong Kong and Macau. CBP has made clear that it is aiming to get access to more countries where outward processing (multicountry production) is strong and virtually all of the free trade agreements negotiated by the United States also include provisions to allow CBP on site in factories.
