History of USA-ITA

The United States Association of Importers of Textiles and Apparel (USA-ITA) is in its nineteenth year. Founded in 1988, this non-profit industry association represents the interests of the textile and apparel importing community before Congress, the Administration, U.S. Customs, the business community and the public.

Founded by nine companies, the Association has grown to a current membership of over 200 companies. USA-ITA’s website, regular seminar series, up to the minute memoranda, newsletters, and on-line information update importers on relevant business and trade issues. As a unified voice for the industry, USA-ITA has access to those in the Washington trade community who shape the policies that affect the importing community. Membership in USA-ITA is open to U.S. - based companies involved in the importation of textile and apparel products.
